How heavy is the mask?
275 grams, which is noticeably heavier than most sleep masks. That's deliberate. The weight comes from thousands of fine micro-beads spread evenly across the whole mask, so it settles gently across your brow, temples and cheekbones rather than concentrating in one place. Most people describe the feeling as being gently held. Give it two or three nights. The first time you wear it you notice the weight, and after that you mostly notice how quickly you drop off.
How does it work if I sleep on my side?
The mask forms one continuous shell that wraps from your face around to the back of your head, so it holds its position whether you're on your back, your side or your front. There's no thin strap to dig in or shift when your head turns. Side sleepers are one of the main reasons we built it this way.
Where does the weight sit on your face?
Across the whole surface: brow, temples, cheekbones. Not on your eyes. The beads are distributed through the full width of the mask rather than pooling in the middle, and the inner lining keeps them from bunching. Nothing presses down on your eyelids, and you can open your eyes inside it.
Does it stay on through the night?
Yes. Because it wraps fully around your head rather than relying on an elastic band, there's nothing to loosen or slide as you move. Most people wake up with it exactly where they put it.
Does it get warm during the night?
The outer face is a cool-touch fabric that stays cool against the skin and doesn't trap heat, so it works well on warm nights. Turn it over and there's a soft plush side for when the room is cold. One mask, both seasons.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash at 30°C, or machine wash on a delicate cycle inside a laundry bag. Skip the spin, because with a weighted product it can shift the fill unevenly. Press the water out gently, lay it flat to dry and reshape it while damp. Give it a full day to dry through before wearing it again, and never tumble dry.
Can I wear it with glasses, long lashes or night skincare?
Glasses come off first, but the mask is soft enough that long lashes don't matter. If you use serums or creams at night, let them absorb for ten minutes before putting it on, and wash the mask a little more often than you otherwise would.
